Cinco fotógrafos que abordan el paisaje desde una perspectiva metafórica en la que el símbolo, el significado, el espacio onírico y un lenguaje próximo al inconsciente, escenifican un nuevo paisaje.
Ciuco Gutiérrez (España)
Irrumpió en el ámbito fotográfico de Madrid con unas imágenes atípicas para el momento que tenían un lenguaje sintético y muy visual basado en el color agresivo y la ironía. Su trabajo ha girado en torno al paisaje escenificado y el bodegón con una gran carga onírica que forma parte de un imaginario emocional e íntimo con el que ha ido estructurando un lenguaje expresivo propio. Sus obras tienen un gran componente narrativo basado en un juego semántico alrededor de la paradoja y la metáfora.
Xing Danwen (China)
Nació en 1967 en Xi'an (provincia de Sha'anxi). Recibió un BFA de la Academia Central de Bellas Artes de Beijing en 1992 y una maestría de la Escuela de Artes Visuales de Nueva York en 2000. Su práctica artística es rica y variada y sus temas contemplan la dislocación entre la situación cultural, los conflictos entre la globalización y las tradiciones; problemas en cuestiones ambientales generados por el desarrollo, y el drama urbano entre el deseo y la realidad. Ficción, realidad e ilusión a menudo desempeñan un papel importante en sus obras. Actualmente vive y trabaja en Beijing.
Sebastián Dávila (Colombia)
Su propuesta fotográfica ha girado alrededor de la exploración de la relación entre espacio e individuo. Sus fotografías se han exhibido en Bogotá, San Francisco, Los Ángeles, Miami, Nueva York, Barcelona y Kyoto. Fue ganador en el 2010 de la convocatoria distrital para realizar una exposición individual en la galería Santa Fe (Bogotá). Actualmente divide su tiempo entre Bogotá y San Francisco.
Luis Beltrán (España)
Es Administrador de Empresas graduado de la Universidad de Gales en 2000. Ha participado en diferentes exposiciones en New York y España. Su trabajo Sueña conmigo es un proyecto que nos presenta escenarios que se debaten entre lo real y lo imaginario.
Andrés Gómez (Colombia)
Se interesó en la fotografía como estudiante de Biología Marina donde usó la cámara como un medio de registro. Sin embargo, la fotografía se convirtió en su prioridad y se trasladó a Estados Unidos con el propósito de estudiar esta disciplina de la imagen. Desde entonces se ha dedicado a la fotografía desempeñándose en el trabajo artístico, la docencia y la fotografía comercial y publicitaria.
Paisajes Imaginarios estará abierta al público hasta el 4 de junio de 2013, de lunes a domingo 10:00am a 6:00pm, en las salas de exposición de la Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño (calle 10 # 3-16). El martes 7 de mayo de 2013, a las 3:00pm, se realizará una visita comentada con el artista Luis Beltrán.
